The two leading candidates up for Oklahoma governor are turning up the heat tonight. Mary Fallin is meeting voters face-to-face while Joe Dorman is taking his campaign to TV.
Recent poll results show the race is getting close.
Governor Fallin stopped at both the Guthrie Green here in Tulsa and Los Cabos in Jenks - as a sort of meet and greet with supporters. She says the tightening poll numbers between her and her Democratic challenger Joe Dorman don't worry her - neither does his new ad that just hit the airwaves.
"Mary Fallin has flip flopped and failed on education," challenger Joe Dorman said in a new ad.
Democratic candidate for Governor Joe Dorman's ad, which first aired Tuesday, gets right to one of Oklahoma's hot button issues - education.

"I'm not going to focus on running negative campaigns. It is sad he's already mudslinging this early in the campaign and talking about negative things," Fallin responded.
Instead, Mary Fallin says, at this point it is all about getting to better know the voters in every corner of the state. She began Tuesday in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
"She has been very helpful to our city for quality of life and infrastructure," said Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett. "She understands the need for that very, very well."
Recent polls show a tight race between Fallin and Dorman - with a gap ranging from 5 to 13 points.
So does that worry her?
"We've always said were gonna run a competitive campaign and not take anything for granted. We are going to run like we are one point ahead," Governor Mary Fallin said.
But one last jab Tuesday from the Oklahoma Democratic Party - claiming the governor's spokesperson, Alex Weintz, is illegally working her campaign on Government time and on the taxpayers' dollar.
"On a day like today doing campaign work I take time off," Weintz said. "This is my annual leave, and I have a couple weeks a year and so I'm doing it to work for the campaign."
The Democratic Party filed an open records request back in April asking for documents relating to Weintz's sick and personal leave. Since they still haven't received the information - they recently filed an ethics complaint against Governor Fallin.
Fallin's campaign says the Democratic party will eventually receive the documents they requested - but the process takes time and that they aren't hiding a thing.
