Boeing released video of its new 787 Dreamliner making a dramatic takeoff.

The company will be demonstrating the passenger jet's capability at the Paris air show next week. The video shows the three-man crew taking off almost straight up.

A large portion of the 787 consists of carbon fiber, which means the airplane is much lighter than the current generation of airliners. That means it will also be much more fuel efficient.

Spirit AeroSystems' Tulsa facility makes parts of the wings.

American Airlines put its first 787 into passenger service last month. It sent one of the jets to Tulsa this spring to train flight and ground crews.
