The man shot last weekend in the Woodland Hills Mall parking lot said many people walked past him as he was yelling for help; but one woman stopped and he calls her his angel sent from God.

The victim's family said he would like to meet the woman who saved his life that Saturday afternoon, and Tuesday that happened.

"As soon as I turn on the vehicle, I hear a loud explosion. My arms fly up and I can't lower them and everything was blank. I couldn't hear, I couldn't see and my first thought was my children are dead," the man said.

He had just put his 2-year-old son and 4-year-old nephew into their car seats when he heard the noise and felt an unbearable pain in his back.

His hands were so bloody he said he couldn't dial his phone, but called for help; however, people just walked past until a woman stopped, put a t-shirt into his wound and turned on his car too cool him down.

“I consider her my angel since I don't know her name or anything about her, but she's an angel God sent," he said.

Tuesday, he got to meet that angel, learn her name, hug her and thank her.

She happens to be a nurse and knew exactly what to do to treat his wound.

The bullet went into his neck and out his shoulder, and she told him to hang on.

"He started talking about God and how much he loved his family and to tell his child how much he loves him," she said.

She doesn't think of what she did as anything special, but he said she's part of the miracle that he is alive today.

"By the time she got there, I was ready to die. I couldn't feel my arms anymore; my whole body was slowing turning off,” he said. When somebody asks God for help, he'll send it, and he sent me the greatest help at that moment."

He told her after he recovers he wants to, somehow, repay her.

His recovery is even slower because he only has one kidney after donating one to his brother five years ago.

He said he has no idea why someone would shoot at him, and he's just thankful his son and nephew weren't hit.

Police said they need help to solve the case and ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
