Tulsa Police have released new information about Thursday's deadly shooting at a north Tulsa car wash. It happened at the Suds N Go car wash near Martin Luther King and Apache around 2 p.m. July 2.
Homicide Detective David Walker released the victim's name: 28-year-old Elon Shaw. Walker also said police are looking for a man between the ages of 20 and 27 who was at the car wash Thursday wearing a white T-shirt and khaki shorts. He was 5'7" to 5'9" and about 165 pounds.
Police say he is responsible for shooting and killing Shaw.
Police say Shaw was in the parking lot of the Suds and Go in a friend's car when the shooter approached them and started shooting. Police say the shooter then ran into a neighborhood and got away. Shaw ran to a gas station, collapsed and later died in the hospital.

His friend was not hit.
Police say they don't know what the motive was for the shooting. Police say that Shaw's friend thinks he may have been the targeted, but says he has not had any recent problems with anyone.
"We have not found anyone that has said anything bad about the victim, and he did not have any confirmed gang affiliation," Walker said in a news release.
This morning police are still looking for the shooter. If you have any information, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
