Top Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson was in Tulsa Thursday to sign his new book.
His visit came on the same day a new poll shows him leading over former frontrunner Donald Trump.
While his visit to Tulsa was fairly brief, only a few hours at Barnes and Noble, Carson still drew quite the crowd, with already in line before sun up to see the popular presidential hopeful.
Hundreds of Oklahomans, including Nancy Entriken, lined up Thursday morning to see Carson at his book signing.
"Oh gosh, I'd love to get a picture with him, and I'll probably faint," she said.
Entriken drove from Enid after hearing about the event last week. She said she's been a fan of Carson's from the very beginning.

"I just feel like he really cares about this country. I've watched him on programs and he answers the questions," she said.
Thursday, the latest Quinnipiac poll of Iowa Republicans puts Carson in the lead in that state, surpassing Trump.
"It's one poll. When we've had several of them, then I might get a little more excited, but it's nice to know that people are actually listening to what I'm saying as opposed to how it's being reinterpreted," Carson said.
This is the first time he’s leading in the polls in weeks.
When asked about his campaign strategy in the key swing state, Carson said it was pretty straightforward.
"Telling the truth, talking about matters that people care about not only in Iowa but across the country," he said.
The former neurosurgeon also answered questions about his views on the education system, the oil and gas industry and Thursday's hearing on Benghazi with Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.
He also touched on what he feels Oklahoma voters care about.
Carson said, "You know, they are concerned about the important things, you know, education, divisiveness, fiscal responsibility, how do we develop our resources and what place do we take on the world stage."
One thing Carson chose not to answer during the interview was about Trump’s campaign style and their differences.
Carson left Tulsa Thursday afternoon for another stop in Joplin.
He has ten more stops to go on his book tour before he heads to Boulder, Colorado for the next republican debate on October 28th.
