The Osage County Sheriff’s Office has identified three people it says were involved in a homicide that led to a fatal officer-involved shooting.

According to a news release, the sheriff’s office received a call from a Wolco at about 11 Thursday morning from a resident saying a woman had been shot.

When law enforcement arrived, witnesses told them a man, later identified as 20-year-old James Wayne Bigley, shot himself then first shot and killed 35-year-old Cajsa Rae Camargo before driving away.

Almost immediately after the OSCO started looking for Bigley, the release says a Skiatook officer located him speeding west on Highway 20 and attempted to stop him.

The release says the chase continued along the highway to Hominy where it ended four miles west of the town.

As law enforcement approached the vehicle to take Bigley into custody, the release says he refused to drop his weapon. That’s when he was shot by a Skiatook officer.

According to the release, Bigley was taken to a Cleveland hospital where he later died.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the shooting, while the OSCO is investigating the shooting that occurred in the Wolco area.

According to reports, a third person, 32-year-old Cody Jo King, was also in the vehicle when Camargo was shot. The release says he was not injured.
