The American Conservative Union and the Lynde and Harry Bradley foundations announced Friday, Dr. Everett Piper will be honored next month.

The award, which carries a $10,000 stipend to the honoree, will be made at the 2016 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Ronald Reagan Banquet on Friday, March 4, 2016.
The prize honors the memory of Dr. Jeane Kirkpatrick, the former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, for her outspokenness in the most hostile of environments, her clarity and determination in the midst of oppression and her fierce dedication to American ideals and academic freedom.
