A man teamed up with Tulsa police Monday to recover property stolen from his SUV.
Kelis Chestnut said his vehicle was at a Tulsa dealership having work done when someone stole parts from it and vandalized it. Chestnut said he found his stolen rims for sale on Facebook, so he contacted police and set up a meeting with the seller at the QuikTrip at 11th and Garnett.
"I called them. I let 'em know what happened," he said. "They were very prompt with trying to get it handled. And wanted to, you know, they were very concerned about my safety and got extra officers out here to make sure that everything went OK."
Police arrested Raymond Johnson and Lavell Richardson on complaints of knowingly concealing stolen property.
A third suspect who came in a different vehicle managed to get away.
