A former Tulsa police officer charged with killing his daughter's boyfriend has withdrawn his motion to use the "stand your ground" defense in his trial.
Shannon Kepler is charged with first-degree murder in the August 2014 shooting death of Jeremy Lake.
Kepler pleaded not guilty to that charge and two counts of shooting with intent to kill.
His attorney had informed the court earlier this year that Kepler would use Oklahoma's "stand your ground" self defense law in the trial, which is scheduled to begin in October.
