Tulsa Police have a suspect in custody in the shooting death of a 25-year-old man at the Somerset Apartments Sunday morning.
Tulsa police arrested 27-year-old Cory Kuebler at the Royal Inn near Interstate 44 and Union after being able to match the suspect vehicle to Kuebler's. Police took several other people into custody who with with Kuebler at the motel.
Officers said Kuebler is a convicted felon and sex offender from Texas who was just released from an Oklahoma prison a month ago, authorities said.
He was booked on a first-degree murder complaint.
Around 4:45 a.m. Sunday, police say a woman knocked on a door at the Somerset Apartments, and when the victim opened the door - Kuebler began to enter the apartment. Police said he was wearing a red bandana over his face.
The victim struggled and two shots were fired, one hitting him in the neck, Sergeant Dave Walker told News On 6.

Walker said they recovered clothing and other evidence including a handgun of the same caliber used in the shooting. They also arrested several people with Kuebler for outstanding warrants.
"We are continuing the investigation into these people's involvement in the murder," Walker said.
The victim died at the scene. His name has not been released.
Kuebler is being held without bond.
