Police say they received a frantic call to 911 early Wednesday morning.
"Can I get EMSA over here?"
The voice on the other end of the line was Alicia Dockins.
According to investigators, Dockins stabbed her boyfriend inside their apartment at Bryan Hill Apartments near NW 36th and Rockwell.
She explained her version of the story comes to a 911 dispatcher.
Dispatcher : Bethany 911?
Caller : Yes, can I please get EMSA over here?
Dispatcher: Okay. What's going on ?
Caller : Well, I was sleeping and my boyfriend, he came in here...
Caller: He was accusing me of doing stuff (INAUDIBLE) and he started putting his hands on me.
Caller: He was trying to put his hands on me, pushing me around the closet, and I just reacted.
Bethany Police confirmed the domestic dispute but say it was not self-defense.
Investigators say the physical evidence suggests Dockins could've left the apartment at any time.
Instead, she went to the kitchen and grabbed a knife. Then, went back to stab her boyfriend.
Witnesses saw the boyfriend run from the apartment.
Investigators say at some point he fell down a flight of stairs and broke his femur.
He is in the hospital. Dockins is in jail on a complaint of assault with a deadly weapon.
