Wednesday, the oldest Bever brother pleaded guilty to the murders of five family members. The younger brother pled not guilty.
Both Robert and Michael Bever are in the Tulsa County Detention Center; and with Wednesday’s plea, Robert will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
In Broken Arrow, neighbors in the Indian Springs subdivision, where the crime happened, say they’re ready to move on.
"Well you know it's been kind of a struggle,” Austin Mahan said. “You go around everywhere and everybody is just asking, 'Hey, what's going on? What's new? Have you heard anything?' We're not really standing in the dark, but we know about as much as everybody else."
Wednesday’s guilty plea and life sentence without the possibility of parole for oldest brother, Robert, is another chapter in the murder case.

Mahan said, "The whole thing, it's sad with what's going on, but I’m glad that it's finally getting over with."
Neighbors hope Wednesday's sentencing provides some closure to the surviving members of the Bever family - a 13-year-old sister and a toddler.
"Somebody has to pay the price - five people died," neighbor John Alexander said.

Alexander said no neighborhood is safe from crime and tragedy.
"Guys, there's no such thing as a peaceful community anymore. This could happen anywhere across America, and it does every night. You're in the news business, you see it every night. The question we have to ask ourselves is why is this happening," he said.
Mahan said, "I can speak for the whole neighborhood and all our neighbors, we're just ready to get it behind us,"
Michael Bever's trial date is scheduled for next year.
