Police Identify Shooting Victim As 25-Year-Old Tulsa Man

Tulsa police have identified the man who was shot and killed Monday afternoon.

TPD says the victim was Quavis Cato, 25, of Tulsa. 

The shooting happened around 1 p.m. at a duplex off east 13th and 73rd East Avenue.

Tulsa homicide detectives are looking for Joseph Johnson to talk to about the crime. They believe he is driving a red Chevy Tahoe with the Oklahoma license plate 660-PDS.

Police said a man and two women were standing outside a duplex when another man came up and shot the male victim.

Witnesses who live there said they believe the shooting happened during a car deal. They said the victim was trying to sell a car when things when south, and the man he was trying to sell it to pulled out a gun.

Police said an officer happened to be driving down the street shortly after the shooting when someone flagged him down for help.

This is Tulsa's 58th homicide of the year,

Johnson is described as a 20-year-old black male around 5-feet-10-inches tall and 200 pounds.
