Man Arrested In Shooting After Booker T. Washington Alumni Game

Tulsa Police arrested a man they say shot another man at Booker T. Washington last week. William Carl Childs was booked on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill.

An affidavit states Childs and Kevin George were in the parking lot of the school after an alumni game April 15, 2017. They got into an argument about who was the better athlete.

Childs went to his vehicle and got a gun, court documents state. Police said George asked him, "So are you going to shoot me, really?"

Childs replied, "I shoot straight" and shot George two times, according to the affidavit. George was hit in the right side of his rib cage. 

His wounds were not life-threatening, according to police.
