A major resurfacing project gets underway Tuesday in Tulsa on Highway 169.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the $6-million project is just over seven miles in length, stretching from Creek Turnpike to Interstate 44.

Workers will shut down two lanes late Tuesday between I-44 and 31st Street and you can expect more closures to come.

Resurfacing will happen between the Creek and 71st and between 21st and just north of I-44.
