The families of two girls who were hit by a truck while walking down a Rogers County road got answers to questions that have plagued them.
Dakota and Gage Shriver are charged in the deadly hit-and-run that killed Noelle New and seriously injured Maranda Talley.
Tuesday, jurors got to see evidence taken from the brothers’ truck and heard interviews with Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigators.
New's mother, Brandy, burst into tears after hearing details of the crash during testimony by the OHP investigator, including damage to the truck Dakota and Gage were in and how New was hit then dragged under the vehicle.
The district attorney showed pictures of beer cans found inside the cab of the pickup - 14 cans were open and more than 20 were not. They also showed the cans found in the bed of the truck and an open bottle of vodka.
The jury watched both interviews with the brothers that happened two days after the crash.

Gage Shriver is accused of being drunk behind the wheel. Prosecutors said his interview shows him changing his story multiple times with investigators before he admitted to drinking at least 12 beers before driving.
It also shows Gage admitting they made up a story about hitting a deer.
Both brothers adamantly told investigators they never saw the girls in the road before the crash or in the ditch afterward, but they said when they went back to the scene a few hours later with their mother they saw New dead and Talley badly hurt.
New's family got emotional hearing the investigator tell the brothers that a beautiful, OU-bound Merit scholar, with her whole life ahead of her, may have laid there for hours before she died, with no one there to help her.
Dakota told investigators he started to pick New up because he wanted to help her but his mother told him to put her down and wait for paramedics to arrive.
The trial continues Wednesday.
