Storm tracker Darren Stephens was in Sand Springs where a couple of grass fires burned near the Osage Casino at Highway 97 and Highway 412.

Osage Casinos released this statement:

Our top priority at Osage Casinos is the safety of patrons and staff. Due to wildfires in the area, we have made the decision to evacuate our Sand Springs location. We will give notice when the casino reopens, but as of now, we feel it is important to not take any risks by remaining open. Osage Casinos also wants to thank our local firefighters for working to help keep these fires from spreading.

- Byron Bighorse, CEO Osage Casinos

Deputies have blocked off roads near 129th West Avenue and Wekiwa Road due to the fires.

Grass fires were reported in Creek, Wagoner, and Tulsa County Friday. Crews battled flames in Sperry and quickly extinguished them.

This is a developing story and will be updated with the latest.
