A powerful storm with heavy rain and strong winds caused damage across parts of Sand Springs.
News On 6 storm tracker Von Castor found an awning that had been knocked over at Church That Matters at 3 W. 41st Street.
He said winds in that area were around 60 miles an hour.

The awning fell on some vehicles parked near the building. No injuries were reported.
News On 6 meteorologist Mike Grogan and Stacia Knight say that anywhere between three and five inches of rain fell between Sand Springs and and Prattville down to south/southwest Tulsa.

Castor also ran into a motorcycle rider that got stuck in flood waters near the Highway 97 and 41st Street intersection near Prattville. The driver was able to get to safely to higher ground.
With a lot of rain falling in areas across Green County, it's important for drivers to remember to avoid flooded road and to Turn Around. Don't Drown.
News On 6's Reagan Ledbetter was also in Sand Springs where he found a homeowner who told him their trampoline blew over their fence, missed a parked truck, and landed into a neighbor's yard.
