ONG, OKCFD Respond To Cut Gas Line In NW OKC

A northwest Oklahoma City school and two homes were evacuated Thursday morning due to a broken gas line.

Oklahoma City firefighters and Oklahoma Natural Gas responded at the scene.

TAC 1 | HAZMAT - 1900 Blk NW 18th St | HazMat crews are on the scene of a medium pressure natural gas line that has been cut. This incident is near a school. The area around the school has been evacuated. ONG is on scene - DM 8:25 a.m.

Firefighters evacuated Rosary Catholic School and nearby homes near NW 19th and Virginia Avenue around 8 a.m.

The 260 students at Rosary Catholic School were moved to another area of the campus to shelter in place, firefighters said.
