It was a big day in Oklahoma City and a big day for Tulsa as so many supporters rallied around Tulsa businessman Kevin Stitt, now the leader of the great state of Oklahoma.
Several people gathered to watch the inauguration Monday afternoon. The festivities in Oklahoma City continued with the Governor's ball as Governor Stitt prepares to make Oklahoma a top 10 state.
The inauguration had all the flare and fanfare you would expect on such an important day in our state's history. Tulsa Businessman Kevin Stitt, founder of Gateway Mortgage, was sworn in as our 28th Governor.
“My dad raised me and my two brothers to believe we could do anything we put our minds to. He would tell us, "Don't ever give up, don't ever quit, the future doesn't just happen, you make it happen, so dream big," said Stitt.

With a large crowd gathered at the capitol, the governor talked about humble beginnings and how he, with just 1,000 dollars and a computer started a nationwide mortgage company.
"It wasn't easy. We took great risks as a family, made hard decisions, sacrificed, weathered difficult times and learned from each other, from our employees, and from our community,” said Stitt.
Never had he imagined his dreams, his family, wife and six children would one day bring him to the steps of the capitol building.
"Like you, I was frustrated. Like you, I am motivated, I see untapped potential; I see opportunity. I see great men and women around me. I see promises to be kept. I see jobs. I see progress. I see a Top Ten Oklahoma," said Stitt.
He also made a promise to Oklahomans from rural towns with only a couple hundred people to the larger cities with thousands.
