A man accused of killing his wife and seriously injuring her 8-year-old daughter in Adair County will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Aubrey Johnson is pleading guilty to first degree murder, and he will now serve a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
Deputies responded to the Johnson's Adair County home in the evening on September 6, 2018 after Johnson reported his wife and child had been shot.

When deputies arrived they found his wife Goulanv dead on the front porch, but the 8-year old girl was not there.
Johnson's friends later brought the child to the Stillwell hospital; she was then transported to Tulsa for emergency surgery.
The girl survived and presented a victim statement before sentencing.
District Attorney Jack Thorp released a statement saying in part "Goulanv's family has suffered enough; this defendant took away their loved one and deserves to spend his life in prison thinking of the pain he caused."
