Sapulpa Man Arrested After Standoff With Police

Sapulpa Police arrested a man Friday night after a standoff near 708 S Mounds.

Officers say they received a call about a man pointing a gun at someone else just after midnight. The victim got the gun away from the suspect, but the suspect went into the man's house. When police arrived the victim told police the suspect, Casey Smith, was still inside his home with 3 other people. Police were able to get the three people out of the house.

Sapulpa's SWAT team fired gas into the house and eventually went inside the house to bring the man in. Police arrested Casey Smith on complaints of assault and battery, burglary, and kidnapping.
