Tulsa Police have canceled the Amber Alert for a missing child. Police said the child has been found safe and the are still searching for the suspect.

Tulsa PD: Amber Alert Canceled, Searching For Suspect

Tulsa Police are searching for a father they said threatened to hurt his 1-year old son... prompting an overnight Amber Alert.

The Amber Alert for the child has been canceled, and the child was found safe.

Police said Terrel Buchanan is still on the run, and they're trying to find out what kind of vehicle he's driving.

They said Buchanan was at his sister's apartment near 91st Street and Lewis when he got into an argument with his child's mother.

He's accused of assaulting her and taking off with their one year-old son, and police said he warned the family not to tell police or he'd kill the child.

Around 2:30 a.m. Friday morning, officers said one of Buchanan's relatives called police, saying they wanted to bring Buchanan's son back to his mother.

Police said the suspect's family met officers and the child's mother at a Walmart near 81st Street and Lewis to return the child.

Buchanan was last seen wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and black shoes.
