Rogers County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man accused of assaulting his 23-year-old son who has a disability and trying to set the family’s home on fire.

Deputies said when they got to the Owasso home, they found 51-year-old Raymond Marshall holding a knife.

Deputies said Marshall’s wife told them he had shoved their 23-year-old son who has cerebral palsy and tried to twist his head. That’s when she told one of her sons to call 911.

Officials said she told them Marshall went downstairs, turned on the gas stove and started spreading olive oil all over the kitchen. Deputies arrested Marshall and said he kicked the deputy during the arrest.

Deputies said they have security footage from the house that support the wife’s story and they found olive oil throughout the kitchen.
