Students Decorate Pianos For Public To Play At Tulsa Mayfest

Anyone headed to Mayfest this weekend will get a chance to show off their musical skills.

Six pianos were decorated by students from several school districts around Green Country and they’ll be set up around Mayfest for anyone to play.

“This year, it's really about the perseverance and the determination and the spirit of hope and inspiration of these teachers and these students because six of the pianos were able to be completed,” Kim Koch from Saied Music Company said.

After Mayfest ends, the pianos will be moved to new locations around the area where they will be on display for the rest of the summer.

The event starts Friday.
