2 People Dead In Wrong-Way Crash On Highway 51 And 129th East

Tulsa police said two people died after a wrong-way car crash shut down a portion of Highway 51 for several hours Saturday night.

Police said that a witness called them saying a car entered the BA Expressway from the off-ramp at 145th E Ave, heading west in the eastbound lanes.

The wrong-way driver crashed into another car head-on at 129th E Ave and died. The innocent driver in the other car died and his wife is in the hospital in critical condition.

The crash closed the highway near 129th East Avenue just after 10 p.m.

Authorities said two cars, a sedan and an SUV crossover, were involved.
