Since losing their daughters in a wreck in 2010, two Sand Springs families have been honoring the girls with an annual Toy Run.

Both families say this is a way to give back to the community and to make sure the girls are always remembered. Hannah Christian and Cassidy Rotramel were killed in a car wreck when they were teenagers in 2010.

"She would just light up a room, she never met a stranger," says Lori Rotramel, Cassidy's mom.

"Hannah had a very giving heart, very sweet, she loved to give back," says Jeff Christian, Hannah's dad.

For the 12th year, their families are helping those in need in their honor with the 2 Angels Toy Run. Hannah's dad Jeff Christian says the girls were passionate about giving back, especially during the holidays.

"To see the way that they've turned tragedy into something that has really helped so many people," says Pastor Rusty Gunn.

Through teaming up with the Salvation Army and the Church that Matters, the event donates toys to kids for Christmas, and provides a scholarship for Charles Page High School. Pastor Rusty Gunn says he knew both girls and remembers the day he got the phone call they were gone.

"Our whole city felt this, our community is tight-knit, our school is tight-knit, so everybody was impacted," Pastor Rusty Gunn.

On Saturday, the group will ride from Tulsa Community College West Campus, over the Keystone Dam, and end at Charles Page High School.

All you have to do to participate is bring an unopened toy.

"I don't want either one of our children to be forgotten, I want their memory to be remembered, and I want to honor that memory," Rotramel said.

The families say they are hoping for a big turnout this weekend, and for many years after.

"The plan is for this to go on, long after I'm gone," Christian said.

Registration starts at 10 on Saturday at the T-C-C West Campus, if you can't attend but would like to donate a toy, you can drop it off at the Church that Matters in Sand Springs.
