Tulsa Police said they released a crime map on their Facebook page, after getting questions about whether violent crimes are happening in certain areas of the city.
Police said the map shows crimes happen all across Tulsa.
The map shows where crimes like homicides, rapes, assaults, and burglaries happen.
Captain Richard Meulenberg said everyone should be aware of their surroundings, regardless of where they are, because criminals are mobile.
“Keep your head on a swivel,” said Captain Richard Meulenberg of the Tulsa Police Department.
“Pay attention to what is going on around you. When you see something that is amiss, or criminal activity, give us a call. But at some point, we as a community, need to come together as a community," he said.
Tulsa Police said they hope to create a database in the future, where people can look at the crime stats easily.
