Sunday will be a cloudy and rainy day, with most of the Oklahoma City metro receiving moderate to heavy rainfall throughout the day as well as isolated thunderstorms that are expected to move in later Sunday evening.
The highs for Sunday will be in the hot mid 90s, with a lot of that heat dissipating due to the rain as the day progresses, with the lows peaking in the low 70s.
Wind speeds for Sunday will be blowing in from the southeast and will be carrying winds of up to 13 mph, but are expected to pick up as storms and rain move in later Sunday evening.
Storm possibilities are likely, as moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to pass through the OKC metro throughout most of the evening. These storms have the capability of bringing high wind gusts of up to 21 mph, which could potentially be damaging.
What does the weather look like for Monday?
Monday also has a chance of bringing rain and thunderstorms throughout most of the day, as there will be a 60% chance of rain and storms during the later part of the day.
The highs for Monday will be much cooler as compared to last week as they are only supposed to reach the low 80s, with the lows staying in the high 60s.
Storms are again possible for the OKC metro as more showers and storms are expected to move into the metro on Monday afternoon.
