The Boulder Avenue Bridge in downtown Tulsa just got a whole lot more slippery.
It took two days for organizers of the 4th annual Sip 'N Slide to build a 500-foot slip-and-slide down the road. The slide is the highlight of the all-day party that goes from noon until 12 a.m. on Saturday, August 3rd.
The event was created by Welltown Brewing owner, Jeremy Diamond. He saw it done in other cities and put his own spin on it.
"I decided to bring it to Tulsa and do it ourselves, brand it, and have a good time with it," said Diamond.
He describes it as Tulsa's version of a Las Vegas pool party. Sip 'N Slide has large lounge pools, DJs, food, drinks, a foam party, a glow party after dark, and unlimited rides down the giant slip-and-slide.
Diamond said it lets adults let loose and just be a kids again.
"I think almost anyone had a slip and slide in their backyard at some point in time," he continued saying, "What is better than an adult version of that."
General admission tickets are $48 and can be purchased at https://www.sip-n-slide.com/. You must be at least 21 years old to attend.
