Cameron Joiner

Cameron Joiner joined the News 9 team as a Multimedia Journalist in January of 2023 during her final semester at the University of Oklahoma. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas but fell in love with the Sooner State.

While at OU, she majored in Broadcast Journalism and was a member of Chi Omega and OU Nightly, Gaylord College’s award-winning student newscast, where she served as an anchor, reporter, and producer. She also spent the summer of 2022 at KSWO in Lawton, Oklahoma, where she fell in love with reporting and discovered her passion for storytelling. She worked as a reporter and anchor/producer for Texoma Weekend Morning News, covering an array of topics from human interest pieces to devastating fires and missing persons.

Outside of the newsroom, Cameron is an indoor cycling instructor at CycleBar OKC. She also enjoys watching Grey’s Anatomy and hanging out with the people she loves. Follow her on Instagram at @cameronjoinertv or like her on Facebook at Cameron Joiner News 9!
