Known for his no-hype style, Jim Giles was the calm in the
storm during severe weather. Jim helped Oklahomans plan for
sun, rain, snow and everything in between for 25 years.

Terry Hood comes to KOTV
Terry anchored and reported at Channel 6 for 32 years,
telling
the stories of Oklahomans with passion and grace, before
retiring in 2019.
Six In The Morning went began as a one-hour program at 6 a.m.
In the headlines that morning, overnight fires at a hotel and
a drug store in Utica Square. Also in that broadcast were tips
to stay safe for people spending a holiday on the lake and
remedies for motion sickness.
Lori Fullbright has been covering crime since she began at
KOTV. Lori now anchors News On 6 at 5, 6 and 10 on weeknights.
Her commitment to keeping Oklahomans safe continues.
John Holcomb began covering sports in Green Country. He now
serves as sports director, anchoring at 6 and 10p weeknights
and co-hosting the statewide Oklahoma Ford Sports Blitz.
With the purchase of KOTV, Griffin Communications (now
Griffin Media) brought local ownership to the station.

Oklahoma Sports Blitz Premieres
John Holcomb and Dean Blevins began the statewide sports show
in 2001 and still host the broadcast each Sunday night.

Craig Day Joins the News Team
After years of reporting and anchoring in neighboring states,
native Oklahoman Craig Day began working at News On 6. Craig
has covered everything from wild weather to Oklahoma’s bravest
military heroes. Today, Craig is devoted to covering issues
facing our state’s children and families.
You may know by now News On 6 is celebrating 75 years on the air. This station's strong legacy of storytelling has been built in no small part by a talented team of photojournalists.
