Just hours after an historic electoral victory in the fifth Oklahoma congressional district, newcomer Kendra Horn (D), said she already had her sights set on work to be done in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Democrats were gaining significant ground in the battle for House control Tuesday night, while Republicans held onto their majority in the Senate as voters weighed in on the first nationwide election in Donald Trump’s turbulent presidency.

Tulsa businessman Kevin Stitt has been elected the next governor of Oklahoma. 

Oklahoma voters have decided to send U.S. Rep. Tom Cole back to Washington.  Cole (R-Moore) was leading challenger Mary Brannon 62 percent to 34 percent with the Associated Press called the race just before 8 p.m. Tuesday. Cole, 69, has been serving in Congress since 2003 and is a Deputy Majority Whip. Click here for more election results from News 9.
