Hominy residents grateful for running water—but boil order still in effect

Residents of Hominy, Oklahoma, now have running water again after flooding caused a major water line break last week. While repairs have restored service, a boil order remains in place as officials test the water's safety. The city continues to distribute bottled water, with help from the Osage Nation and local volunteers. Many residents, like Ashley Walker, say they’re grateful for the support during the outage.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for a large portion of northern and eastern Oklahoma until 10am Saturday morning. Severe storms will be capable of producing 70 to 80 mph wind gusts, large hail and very rainfall rainfall.
