Small Group Of Death Penalty Protesters Gather During Execution

Benjamin Cole was executed on Thursday for the 2002 murder of his daughter Brianna. Outside the penitentiary, a small group of protesters prayed for Brianna, her family, and for Cole. Father Bryan Brooks says protestors have gathered outside the gates since the state resumed executions back in 1990.

After being sentenced 20 years ago, the state is set to execute Benjamin Cole on Thursday. Prosecutors said Benjamin Cole bent his 9-month-old daughter, Brianna, in half, forcing her ankles backward to her head because she wouldn’t stop crying.
