The State Board of Education voted Thursday to suspend the teaching license of a Haskell woman charged in tribal court with misdemeanor child neglect after a viral video showed her daughter outside her home wearing only pajamas on a freezing day earlier this year.

The Muscogee Nation National Council unanimously passed a bill to make child endangerment a felony after a Haskell couple was charged for leaving their child outside in nothing but pajamas during freezing weather back in February. Chief David Hill signed it into law on Friday.
