Atlas Building Renovation Begins

Over the next 14 months, the Atlas Life Building at 415 S. Boston will be converted into a hotel.

TULSA, OK -- A well-known building in downtown Tulsa is about to undergo a major renovation.

Over the next 14 months, the Atlas Life Building at 415 S. Boston will be converted into a hotel. Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor hosted a ground-breaking ceremony of sorts on Tuesday afternoon.

The Courtyard by Marriott will feature 118 rooms and meeting space as well as a restaurant and bar. The hotel is set to open in the summer of 2010. The Tulsa Press Club and the Atlas Life Grill will stay in the building.
