NORMAN, Oklahoma -- Pranksters ended fun for many families after they decapitated a large Sinclair dinosaur statue outside of a business in Norman.
The big green fiberglass dinosaur known as Dino sat outside the Masters Oil Company on west Main in Norman. The business said numerous people stopped to take pictures beside the statue, at least while it had a head.
The 700-pound statue has been there for five years, but Friday morning the shop owner noticed the head had been sawed right off.
"Every day I drive my grandson around the building so he can look at Dino, and on Friday morning we came around and his head was sawed off," said gas station owner Jerry Masters and Dino's owner.
Police have fingerprints, but the shop owner hopes whoever cut the dinosaur's head off will bring it back.
