An Oklahoma man is in custody after a high-speed chase ends in Minnesota, authorities say.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office of Minnesota says 34-year-old Caleb Coffey of Yukon attempted to cross the border into Canada before leading deputies on a chase.

The sheriff's office says the chase reached speeds of up to 120 miles per hour before Coffey's vehicle crashed.

After the crash, the sheriff's office says Coffey refused to drop a firearm when he was shot in the leg by deputies.

Coffey remains in jail in Minnesota as of Friday morning.
