OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Oklahoma family's Christmas wish is for their baby boy to live a normal life. Jos Hawkins was only six days old when jaundice took over his body.
"His was so extreme and they knew at that point that he was changed, that the brain injury had occurred," said Jos' mom, Crystal Hawkins. "And now he can't see or hear."
"Don't want to just put hearing aids on him and temporarily fix what's wrong with him, we want to heal him from the core," Jos' father Joseph Hawkins said.
The family is hoping to get a hyperbaric treatment machine to get more oxygen to Jos' brain. They've raised $5,000 so far, but the machine costs $20,000.
