Last Week To Apply For Tulsa 'Fix Our Streets' Rebate

TULSA, Oklahoma -- This is the last week for Tulsa residents to apply for the Fix Our Streets sales tax rebate.

Rebate recipients must be Tulsa residents and meet one of the following criteria:

• Age 65 or older by the end of 2010
• Eligible for either Oklahoma Sales Tax Relief or the Oklahoma Earned Income Tax Credit
• Rebates of $25 are limited to one per household

Those who qualify can apply one of three ways.

• At City Hall, 175 E. 2nd St. in the City Clerk's office on Street Level
• By request from the Mayor's Action Center at 596-2100
• Online through the City of Tulsa website http://www.cityoftulsa.org

The City of Tulsa says it send the rebates after the Oklahoma Tax Commission has verified income eligibility and the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety has verified age eligibility.

Officials note that some residents may not receive their rebates until August or September 2011.

The application deadline is April 15, 2011.
