OKLAHOMA CITY -- Marcus Dupree, featured in ESPN’s “30 for 30,” visited the Oklahoma Sports studio to talk with Sport Directors and John Holcomb about his underwhelming career in football and what he's been doing professionally and personally throughout the years.
Dupree was a highly-recruited high school player before beginning his college career at the University of Oklahoma. The running back spent just a season and a half with the Sooners before transferring to the University of Southern Mississippi, where he never saw playing time.
After a brief professional career in the NFL, Dupree went on to manage an arena football team, scout for the Washington Redskins and create a career outside the world of sports.
Many fans were disappointed to see Dupree not flourish in the world of collegiate and professional sports, but Dupree credits God for pulling him through tough times to teach him more about life.
