Tulsa Primary Election Results Coming In

The polls are now closed across the city of Tulsa for Tuesday's primary elections and the results are trickling in.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The polls are now closed across the city of Tulsa for Tuesday's primary elections and the results are trickling in.

While there was election in all nine Tulsa city council precincts, not all voters cast a ballot.

In District 1, only Democrats voted Tuesday for Jack Henderson, Twan Jones and Jason Trent.

In District 2, four Republicans are vying for chance to take on Democrat Phillip Oyler in November. The four candidates are Nancy Rothman, Matthew Foster, Judith Adams and Jennie Cue.

In District 3, both Republicans and Democrats voted Tuesday. On the Democratic side, Roscoe Turner is up against David Patrick and the Republicans have David Bell and Randall Reese running.

In District 4, Maria Barnes and Ken Brune are seeking the Democratic nomination and Rocky Frisco, Liz Hunt and Blake Ewing are the three Republicans on the ballot.

In District 5, only Republicans voted Tuesday. The winner of Tuesday's election will be the next city councilperson in District 5. The choices are Chris Trail, Sam Roop and Karen Gilbert.

In District 6, Republicans Jim Mautino and Byron Steele are on the ballot to see who will face Robert Gwin in November's general election

In District 7, Democrats Bobby Bookout and Michael Rainwater are facing off to see who will run against the winner on the Republican side, Steven Roemerman, Thomas Mansur and Elliot Parker.

In District 8, Republican voters will decide between Phil Lakin and George Gibbs. The winner will face off against William Suliburk in November.

And in District 9, Democrat Mike Bateman will find out Tuesday who he will face on the Republican ticket in November. Four Republicans are vying for the seat. They include GT Bynum, Robert Pinney, Kimberlee Whiteman and Doug Rucker.

The 215 polling locations across Tulsa closed at 7 p.m.
