Mowing Crew Discovers Body Off Will Rogers Turnpike

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A mowing crew came upon a gruesome discovery. A body was found near the Kerr-McLellan Navigational Channel on the Will Rogers Turnpike.

Troopers say the crew found the body around 3:00 p.m. Thursday.

Troopers don't know the age, gender or how the person died at this time. The body is in an advanced state of decomposition, troopers say.

The body was not there when the crew last mowed around Labor Day. Investigators are waiting for the medical examiner to arrive on scene.
