McAlester Prison Escapee Captured In Shawnee

An inmate who escaped from the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester was captured in Shawnee Monday night.

David McAlpin, 24, escaped from the minimum-security section at the correctional center Monday morning, police said.

McAlpin was captured in a stolen vehicle at the Shawnee Mall Monday night.
