A popular ministry now has a permanent home in Broken Arrow. LifeChurch.tv held a grand opening of its new location at 2420 E. Kenosha on Sunday, February 19.
The multi-site church now has four campuses in the greater Tulsa area. Its BA church boasts a 45,000-squre-foot facility that includes a large area for children.
"We can't wait to see what God does as we reach out in new ways to serve this community," said Pastor Derek Jewell. "We're passionate about reaching the Tulsa area, and we've already seen incredible growth here."
Jewell said the church was started in 1996 by Craig Groeschel of Oklahoma City. They now have 15 campuses in five states.
"When you put a campus in a community, when you put a church in peoples' back yards, they're more apt to come. They're more apt to come check it out and see what God is doing," he said.
The church has multiple services each Sunday with live worship music and classes. They also live stream their sermons worldwide via satellite.
Jewell said he hopes the new campus in Broken Arrow can work with other churches to serve the community's needs.
"We are in support of any Bible-teaching church in town, in the country, anywhere," he said. "We are here to complete them not compete with them."
The Owasso campus will move to a permanent facility at 14008 E. 96th Street in March. They are currently meeting at Barnes Elementary School.
