A tornado caused minor damage Saturday afternoon when it touched down in northwestern Oklahoma.
News 9 StormTrackers spotted the tornado forming in an open field just north of Woodward around 3:55 p.m. Saturday. The National Weather Service confirmed it was a twister.
StormTracker Val Castor was on Highway 34, eight miles north of Woodward and due east of Fort Supply, when the clouds began to swirl. Just minutes later, a funnel formed and then the twister began to kick up debris.

Woodward County Emergency Management Director Matt Lehenbauer says the storm damaged a metal outbuilding and a camper, but no injuries were reported.
Hail the size of softballs also pounded the area, but Lehenbauer said no injury or damage reports have come in yet.
