The developers of The Outlet Shoppes at Oklahoma City announced Tuesday that construction will soon begin on a 28,000 square foot expansion.
The outlet mall opened in August 2011 near Interstate 40 and Council Road, and quickly became a popular destination for shoppers.
"The expansion of The Outlet Shoppes at Oklahoma City less than 10 months after its original opening speaks volumes about the strength of the market and success of the outlet concept in Oklahoma City," said Gary J. Skoien, chief executive officer of Horizon Group Properties.
Developers said phase two of the outlet mall should be complete by November 2012, just in time for the holiday shopping season. The expansion will be located at the southwest corner of the mall. It will bring several new stores to the shopping center, including Columbia Sports, Waterford and Kenneth Cole.
