OSBI: Firefighters FInd Woman's Body In McIntosh County Home

Authorities are investigating after a McIntosh County woman was found murdered in her home, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Authorities are investigating after a McIntosh County woman was found dead in her burning home, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Firefighters were called to a house fire at a home located about five miles west of Checotah on Highway 266 at about 3 a.m. Wednesday.

They found the body of Deborah Kathryn Kelsoe, 57, inside the house in an apparent homicide.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been called in to investigate. The State Fire Marshal's Office is also investigating to see if the fire was intentionally set, according to an OSBI news release.

In what authorities are calling an unrelated death, the body of a McIntosh County man was found in a pickup parked outside his home Monday night.
