Quapaw Woman To Stand Trial For Death Of Boyfriend's Son

An Ottawa County judge has bound a Quapaw woman over for trial on a charge of first degree murder-child abuse. 

Skye Reece, 20, is accused in the death of her boyfriend's 17-month-old son Lanceton Hollenbeck in February 2012.

Her preliminary hearing took place Wednesday.  

The boy was taken to a Tulsa hospital after paramedics were dispatched to the boyfriend's home on a report the child had fallen out of bed.  The next day Lanceton was removed from life support.  A Tulsa doctor who testified Wednesday said the child died from blunt force trauma caused by child abuse. 

Reece remains in the Ottawa County jail.  Her next court appearance is August 31, 2012.
